'Hibrida Fragments' is a joint project between students from the University Of Arts Bucharest and the MA Printmaking Course at Bradford School of Art.

This collaboration is part of the ongoing Hibrida European printmaking exhibitions project. Hibrida aims to explore the cultural - visual languages and intersections of new and old technologies within the contexts and overlaps of a new and old Europe.

Each student will interperet the theme of Fragments according to their own concerns, so it may be a fragment of the body, a fragment of the city; the landscape; of thought; of text or a fragment of a fragment. All work will be produced in an edition of two, on the same size paper, using a range of printmaking techniques.

There will be over forty artists taking part, the work from the two countries will be hung side by side allowing for reflection upon common themes and differences.

Hibrida Fragments will run simultaneously, with each exhibition containing the same works, at South Square Gallery and at the University of Arts Bucaharest throughout April 2006.
