frog's dream and a book launch in conjunction with Hibrida Press Saturday 7th October - Saturday 28th October 2006 Preview and book launch Friday 6th October 7-9 Artist's statement J & M Grant have worked as a collaborative partnership since the year 2000. One of their concerns has been the exploration of new technologies, working alongside traditional processes within the parameters of printmaking. This present project based upon digital imagery, inkjet and silkscreen printing also looks at other combinations. This last combination takes us to the point of departure for this exhibition of prints. A small book of spells made by their daughter Anna some twenty years ago when she was aged six. Each of the twelve prints shown relate to a specific spell but also extend into a range of issues and concerns which are current in a modern, "adult" world. The images on this page are taken from the book "it's a frog's dream" published by Hibrida Press which will be launched on the 6th October, when copies will be for sale. |
