David's work explores the themes of temporality and minimal elements. His working process is a response to space, and it therefore becomes necessary for each piece to be made anew each time they are exhibited. He constructs assemblages using a wide range of unassuming, ephemeral materials which are functional and familiar in everyday life, including paper, light bulbs and paint. Given the delicate nature of the materials David uses, he tends to work to a small scale allowing the work to sit patiently and quietly until the viewer initiates a connection.
