Michael’s formative years were in a terrace house in a working class community in a Northern railway town. He studied science at University and shortly after became a Chartered Surveyor. In the early noughties he founded waterside property development company where he worked with Jonathan Porritt and other internationally recognised luminaries to develop an ethical charter for the company. Through this role he became fascinated with the creative role in place making.
